I was in second year of my FSc pre-medical when i got a gift from my beloved brother Dr.Abdul Aziz. The Book name was “Kamyabi ka Paigham”(The message of success) :my first book on self help & personal development .I read that book & After that it was only a pause for a while because there were my exams standing in front of me, asking me to read chemistry, physics & biology.
Nature’s rule is you forget everything that you do not repeat.I paused my self-development for a while & decided to face the storm (exam) with full force.Exams IN & Exams out.Result came & marks were more than i expected(i am not going to tell you).
Decided to took admission in Pharm-D just to enjoy the charm of university life.but let me tell you one more thing , i was never never never ever good in chemistry.Chemistry was a roller coaster i was like a heart patient. We cant survive together. But i filled my form with my most beloved buddy & headed toward Mirpur AJK. The journey was 50 km long but thought provoking.I was happy all the way because now i will be free from home (limitations actually). We reached at university’s gate & my friend received a phone call from someone i dont know neither i asked.
That was the moment of U-Turn.The only U-Turn i took in my 21 years age.I Looked at the gate of university’s pharm-D Departement 7 i asked my self
1-Can i study chemistry (roller coaster) for 5 years here? & the answer was a BIG NO. & the reason behind this thought was a line from that book “Kamyaabi ka Paigham” that “Hamesha dill kay rastay per chalo , scope field ka nahi ,Banday ka Hota ha(Always follow your heart, scope is a person’s trait not of any field. My question was realistic & answer was realistic but let me tell you one little thing , at that moment neither i remember book’s name nor author’s name.It was only that line that came into my mind & then i decided to not follow what my friend was saying.i dumped my university registration form in dustbin & suddenly he came back after ending call & asked me to lets go.
I denied with pride & ask him “do you love chemistry”? & his reply was “Kya farq parta ha(it does not matter that i love chemistry or not)? & said please go ,fill your form & submit it i am waiting here.
He took admission & i came back home.I re-opened that book “Kamyabi ka Paigham” & read it again & that was the moment i got my mentor. Qasim Ali Shah was the person behind that life changing decision & later on i moved to Lahore to meet him. After a year my that beloved friend called me & said “i left the university, i can not study the chemistry”. & i replied “Faraq Parta ha k chemistry Pasand ha ya nahi”(It matters either you love chemistry or not).
Next Chapter – TTT1 (Trainer the Trainer) the first time i saw my mentor.
